Blackmores Hyperiforte provides effective relief from nervous tension and mild anxiety. Hyperiforte is formulated to replicate the exact dosage used in clinical trials. It is a natural non-habit forming alternative to drug therapy.

Numerous clinical trials have shown that hypericum is comparable in efficacy to prescription drugs, but with fewer side-effects. It is indicated for the treatment of anxiety, nervous tension and menopause-related anxiety.
Investigation continues to determine how hypericum works physiologically, and several mechanisms of action have been proposed. Although, no single constituent of the plant can be considered to be responsible for the therapeutic action of the herb, hypericin (an oil-soluble anthraquinone glycoside) is considered to be an integral part of its action. The clinical studies showing that hypericum is an effective treatment for anxiety and nervous tension used an extract of the leaves, stems and flowers standardised to contain 0.33% of hypericin.
Warnings
Consult your health care professional before use if you are taking, or think you may be taking, cyclosporine, oral contraceptives (birth control pills), warfarin, protease inhibitors or reverse transcriptase inhibitors (antiviral drugs), amitriptyline, simvastatin or irinotecan. St John’s wort has been noted to increase the action of the hepatic P450 enzyme system, which may decrease the efficacy of these medications. Consult your health care professional before use if you are taking prescription antidepressants (tricyclics or SSRIs). St John’s wort may interfere with the action of these medications. Consult your healthcare professional before use if you are taking digoxin. St John’s wort may interfere with the action of this medication.
Ingredients
Active ingredient per tablet: Hypericum perforatum (St. John's Wort) extract equiv. to dry flowering herb top 1.8g (1800mg), standardised to contain hypericin derivatives 990mcg).
Directions
Adults: Take one tablet three times daily with meals, or as professionally prescribed.

Children 6-12 years: As professionally prescribed.
